Automated Air Gauge Testing
Our customer for this solution is global manufacturer of
laboratory consumables and instruments. This system has been in operation on
a daily basis for years now and it provides statistical data for performance
of manufacturing processes. A Cartesian robotic system was developed to
guide an air gauge into a tray of consumables to measure various
characteristics. A conveyor was used to automatically stage in products to
be tested. All test sequences are fully programmable using a custom

applications. Several test systems cover all aspects of operation of the
lasers from laser tubes to laser modules to final product. These systems
integrate various measurement and profiling devices including: Agilent
functions generators, Tektornix oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies,
