Overview
National Instruments LabVIEW is a graphic programming software package ideal for creating test, measurement and control applications. NI LabVIEW software acquires real world/real time signals and enables advanced, graphical analysis of the data. LabVIEW (LV) offers a wide variety of addon modules and toolkits for embedded design, control, simulation, image and signal processing, industrial monitoring, graphical user interfaces (GUI), data handling, automated test and real-time applications.

LabVIEW Toolkits and Modules
LabVIEW (LV) is a graphic programming package ideal for creating automated test, measurement and control applications. The software acquires real world/real time signals and enables advanced, graphical analysis of the data. Available add-on modules and toolkits include the following:

• Embedded Design - Design, prototype and develop embedded applications including LabVIEW Real Time, Execution Trace, FPGA, Microprocessor SDK, Statechart, Mobile, DSP, ADI Blackfin Processor and ARM Microcontroller embedded modules and toolkits
• Control Design and Simulation - Algorithm development and analysis with LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation, Real-Time, Execution Trade, FPGA, Statechart, Simulation Interface and System Identification Modules and Toolkits
• Image and Signal Processing – Create unique image and signal processing applications using LabVIEW Vision Development, Advanced Signal Processing, Digital Filter Design, Adaptive Filter, Sound/Vibration, Spectral, Modulation, Vision Builder/Automation and Math Interface Toolkits, Modules and Measurement Suites

• Report Generation and Data Storage – Store data and generate reports with LabVIEW SignalExpress, Report Generation (Microsoft Office), Connectivity and Internet Toolkits

LabVIEW TestStand
NI Lab VIEW TestStand is a test management software package that facilitates automated test equipment development and validation. TestStand enables development of test sequences (in all test programming languages), control execution, reporting, database logging and enterprise system connectivity. GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) are created for intuitive use by production test operators. Lab View Test Stand is compatible with IVI, ATLAS, ATML, PXI (PC-based) and other industry standards. TestStand is used for Design Verification, Device Characterization, Validation Testing and Production/Manufacturing Testing.

LabVIEW Real Time Measurement and Control (FPGA)
Real-time performance applies to many test, measurement and control applications. The solutions include multicore and FPGA technology. Real-time operating systems focus mainly on “event response” and “closed loop control systems”. Event response requires action based on sensor input (such as an automotive airbag), while closed loop control systems process feedback and continuously adjust response (thermostats, cruise control, etc.). NI LabVIEW’s real-time solutions may incorporate the following components:
